Following several calls and protests by the parents and teachers, tenders were finally opened last Tuesday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration (NPTAB) for the rehabilitation of the dilapidated Santa Rosa Primary School.
The project would be executed through the Ministry of Education under the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
For several months, persons especially parents and teachers of Santa Rosa have been complaining about the conditions of the school building and the environment in which the pupils are expected to learn. As a result of the state of the building, some classes are currently being facilitated via tents set up in the school compound.
