Man for trial over murder of ex-girlfriend

The trial of Lurick Fiffee for the 2018 murder of his ex-girlfriend Rosemary Rudder is set to commence on Mon-day October 31st before Justice Simone Morris-Ramlall and a jury at the  High Court in Demerara.

At his arraignment yesterday morning, Fiffee pleaded not guilty to the capital charge levelled against him for killing the woman.

The charge states that he murdered Rudder between March 30th and 31st of 2018.

The accused is being represented by defence attorney Dexter Todd, while the state’s case is being presented by prosecutor Muntaz Ali, who will be calling just about a dozen witnesses to testify.
