On 25th October, 2022, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers intercepted a male at the Rubis Gas Station on Mandela Avenue, East La Penitence. A subsequent search of the suspect and his motorcycle led to the discovery of a quantity of cannabis.
Further investigations, led to officers conducting a search of the suspect’s residence, which resulted in the discovery of an additional quantity of cannabis, a statement today from CANU said.
Ignatius Mann, 59, of Saachibazaar Street, Prashad Nagar Georgetown, was escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected narcotics which had a total weight of 174.8 grams
Investigations are ongoing.
