Slingerz FC downed league leader Eagles 3-1 on Sunday in the West Demerara Football Association leg of the NAMILCO U17 Championship at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
Matrim Martin bagged a brace in the 17th and 34th minute while Dominic Frank recorded the other conversion in the 55th minute. For the losers, Shaquille King found the back of the net in the 32nd minute.
Meanwhile, Belle West bested Pouderoyen 6-1. Michael Singh recorded a double in the 35th and 39th minute while Ezra Clarke also scored twice in the 49th and 55th minute.
Adding goals in the fifth and 47th minute were John Anthony and Christopher Singh. For the losers, Kyle Giddings netted in the eighth minute.
Also, Den Amstel and Uitvlugt battled to a scoreless draw.
