GCC Tigers, Saints Superstars secure lopsided wins at Bounty Supermarkets National Indoor Hockey Championship

Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Tigers, and Saints Superstars secured lopsided wins when the Bounty Supermarkets National Indoor Hockey Championship continued last evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

In the Women’s division, GCC Tigers mauled Saints 6-1. Similarly, Saints Superstars crushed Saints Scorpions 5-0 in the men’s 2nd division. Meanwhile, Old Fort and Saints Snipers played to a 2-2 stalemate in the men’s 2nd division. Up to press time several other matches were being contested.

On Wednesday at the same venue, GCC Tigers edged Old Fort Igniters 3-2, while Woodpecker Hikers defeated GCC Spice by an identical score in the women’s section.

In the men’s pool, Bounty GCC edged Saints Splinters 5-4, whilst GCC the Sequel needled Saints 4-3. Also, Old Fort crushed Saints Scorpions 6-1 in the men’s 2nd division. In the veteran’s section, GCC squeaked past Old Fort 3-2. The event continues today at the same venue.
