The body of a woman was discovered on the Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara seawall on Monday.
According to a police source, the woman has been identified as Esther Sudan, a mother of 3, of 20 Zeelugt North, East Bank Essequibo. The post mortem examination stated that the cause of death was drowning compounded by multiple blunt trauma. The pathologist, Dr Nehaul Singh, who conducted the examination opined that the injuries could have been caused by the body being in the water and hitting against rocks and obstacles.
