Western Tigers and Georgetown Football Club (GFC) will contest the final of the Georgetown Football Association Super-8 Championship, following semi-final wins on Sunday.
Staged at the GFC ground, Bourda, Western Tigers downed Santos 3-1 in overtime following a scoreless 90 minute interval. Michael Oie, Daniel Wilson, and Keron Popwell scored in the 105th, 113th, and 120th minute respectively.
Meanwhile, GFC edged the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) 1-0. Lennox Young scored in the 12th minute.
The final will occur at the same venue on November 13th while the losing semi-finalists will compete in the third place playoff.
