The South Dakota Circuit was littered with built for speed machines yesterday when the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club’s (GMR&SC) hosted its International Race of Champions meet, which also served as the final leg of the Radicals Caribbean Cup series.

At the over flowing event, which was graced with the presence of His Excellency, President Irfaan Ali and Minister of Sport, Charles Ramson Jr, the daredevils from Guyana and Barbados transformed the venue into their personal battleground for speed.

Competitors from Team Barbados included Mark Maloney (Group 4; RX-3 and Radical Series), Steve King (Group 4; Nissan Skyline), Suleman Esuf ( Radical Series), Ahmed Esuf (Group 2, Radical Series), Stewart Maloney (Radical Series) and Sean Maloney (Radical Series)

The Radical Series featured a full field of nine racers inclusive of Trinidad’s Kristian Boodoosingh and Guyana’s Kristian Jeffrey.

Kevin Jeffrey and Mark Veira were also behind the wheel.

More in depth details of the event will be published in a subsequent article.
