Optimism has replaced pessimism in our Guyana

Dear Editor,

The pursuit and achievement of good governance in Guyana is challenging but certainly not unattainable; as President Irfaan Ali has been continually demonstrating since taking up the Office of President of our country in August 2020. The PPP/C Development Plan for our country is undoubtedly guided by the national interest and a commitment of our political leaders to the well-being of the Guyanese people.

Stay the course Mr. President! We have already begun to see, to benefit from and consequentially, to appreciate the progress and resultant improvement of living standards of a significant number of our people in areas such as housing development, infrastructural expansion such as road construction/rehabilitation, drainage, expansion of electricity and potable water supplies, agriculture expansion et plus. These qualitative changes and improvements in the lives of the people in our country must be obvious to all who have eyes to see. We must not ignore these realities. Let’s support Government’s determined efforts to keep the wheels of progress turning in our country.

Optimism has certainly replaced pessimism in our Guyana!

Yours faithfully,

Norman Whittaker
