Suriname won the overall title in the 2022 Inter-Guiana Games, edging Guyana by two points as the curtain came down last evening on the championship at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, following a five-year hiatus.

The Dutch speaking nation ended on 110 points, squeaking by Guyana who ended on 108 points after the final official tally was completed.

Suriname swept Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Tennis enroute to the title. On the other hand, Guyana won Cycling, Athletics, Swimming and Table Tennis.

French Guiana ended in the cellar on 26 points.

Christy Campbell presents the third place trophy to the French Guiana delegation.
