Queens Park claim Men’s, Over 45 titles, George United secure Women’s championship in Diamond Mineral Water Hockey

Queens Park (QP) of Trinidad and Tobago won the Men’s Division and Over 45 section respectively, while George United also of twin island republic copped the Women’s title, when the 2022 edition of the Diamond Mineral Water Indoor Hockey Festival concluded on Sunday.

Staged at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, QP downed Hikers 7-3 in the Men’s championship encounter to pocket US$2500. The loser received $US1000. QP also secured the Over-45 title, defeating Old Fort 9-5 to walk away with US$1000.

In the Women’s division, George United overcame GBTI Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) 4-3. For their efforts, George United received US$2500, whilst GCC pocketed US$1000.

Meanwhile, Old Fort ensured that a sweep of the divisional titles would not occur, defeating QP 8-6 in the Over 35 division to receive US$1000.
