Lima Sands man gets four-month sentences for choking, threatening to kill woman

Ronald Hendricks, 40, of Lima Sands in Region Two, was on Wednesday sentenced to four months’ imprisonment after he was found guilty of assaulting and threatening a woman.

Hendricks appeared before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court on charges of assault causing actual bodily harm and using threatening language.

It was alleged that on December 4, 2022, Hendricks he attacked the woman at Lima Sands, where he choked her and also threatened to kill her. He pleaded not guilty to the charge. However, he was found guilty after the woman and two police witnesses testified and he was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment on each charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
