Bent Street, Fruta Conquerors crowned MVP Futsal champs

Bent Street was crowned the men’s champion while Fruta Conquerors clinched the women’s title when the MVP Futsal Championships concluded  Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Bent Street dismissed Future Stars 8-4.

With the result, Bent Street walked away with $500,000 and the championship trophy while the losing finalist pocketed $300,000 and the corresponding accolade.

Clive Nobrega was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and walked away with a Luminous 46cc motorcycle. 

In the women’s final Fruta Conquerors crushed Tiger Bay 11-2. Due to the outcome, the Tucville-based outfit pocketed $200,000 and a trophy with the losers pocketing $100,000, the runners-up accolade and a trophy. Jessica Teasdale was adjudged the MVP of the division and received a trophy.

Meanwhile in the men’s third place match, Stabroek Ballers crushed Gold is Money 6-1 to pocket $200,000 and a trophy.

Gold is Money walked away with $100,000 and a trophy.

Also, Guyana Police Force (GPF) defeated GT Panthers via walkover in the women’s third place playoff. GPF received $50,000 and a trophy while GT Panthers collected $25,000.
