An East Canje, Berbice man has been charged with driving under the influence at Montrose Public Road, East Coast Demerara.
Sumashwar Roopchand, 31, faced the charge at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s court yesterday.
In a statement, the police gave his address as Lot 231 No#2 Village East Canje Berbice
Two Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) reading were taken. The First Reading was .78 % BAC and the second Reading: .66 % BAC, the police said.
