High-ranking team of officials from sports ministry visit Cliff Anderson Sports Hall

Officials from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, headed by Minister Charles Ramson Jnr., yesterday visited the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall where works are ongoing on the nation’s number one indoor sports facility.

Ramson Jnr., was accompanied by Director of Sports, Steve Ninvalle and the two Assistant Directors of Sports Melissa Dow Richardson and Franklin Wilson.

Also at the site was an engineer attached to the ministry, Sherwin Moore.

The Cliff Anderson Sports Hall is being rehabilitated in excess of $130m with some $80m to be spent on the installation of bucket seats with $20m for refurbishing the floor and $30m for the installation of air conditioning.

The first phase of the project is expected to be completed in eight months.

In last year’s budget the sports ministry received $450m.
