Lucrative Wiltshire birth anniversary dominoes tourney set for today

Dominoes lovers will today gather at the Transports Sports Club building for the eagerly-awaited Mark `Jumbie’ Wiltshire birth anniversary team tournament.

Boasting a whopping first prize of $200,000 and a trophy, the cream of the country’s dominoes teams will trek to the Thomas Lands venue in their quest to be victorious.

Teams such as Mix Up, C 7, Rage, All Seasons and Gold is Money to name a few are expected to participate in the tournament.

Mark Wiltshire receives the sponsorship cheque from Romesh Ramcharran of Gold is Money.

The runner-up and third placed teams will receive $100,000 and $50,000 respectively along with trophies.

There is also a fourth placed prize of $20,000.

The MVP of the final will receive $10,000.

In his quest to make the prize monies guaranteed, Wiltshire recently received sponsorship from All Season Racing Service and Gold is Money.

According to Wiltshire who is also the senior Organising Secretary of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (GNDA), only registered teams will be allowed to participate and teams must walk with a good pack of dominoes.
