Sports bar owner arrested over ganja

Yesterday, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers intercepted a motor car with a sole occupant on the Avenue of the Republic in the vicinity of City Hall. A subsequent search of the said vehicle revealed a salt bag containing several parcels of suspected cannabis.

Clyde Anthony Barrett, aka `Clivey’ 45 years, of Callender Street, Albouystown, and owner of City Vibes Sports Bar and Lounge, was arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cannabis, amounting to a total of 11.58 kgs with a street value of approximately $ 3.5 million.

Investigations are ongoing.
