On Monday, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) Officers intercepted a motor car bearing Registration number PZZ 2006 with a male occupant in the vicinity of Hill Street between D’Urban and Norton Street, Lodge. A subsequent search of the said vehicle revealed two (2) brick-like parcels suspected to be cannabis.
Peter Gordon, 31 years, of Fellowship, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cannabis and weighed approximately 5 lbs. (2.144 kg) with a street value of $643,200, a release from CANU said today.
