Lindener is the winner of St. Lucia’s Tourism Authority grand prize

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) yesterday announced that Nikeshia Reece of Linden is the winner of their grand prize of a five-day fully paid trip to the island.

With the aim of promoting the new British Airways service and inaugural flight between St. Lucia and Guyana, slated for March 27th, the SLTA who were in Guyana educating Guyanese about the service while promoting their country as a tourist destination, provided opportunities for patrons to enter for the grand prize of a five-night fully paid trip for two to St. Lucia including staying at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort.

According to a release from the SLTA Public Relations Officer, Gerain Georges, Reece emerged as the winner on February 7th’s drawing. In addition to a round-trip airfare for two from Guyana to St. Lucia, Reece will also enjoy five-nights of all-inclusive luxury accommodations at Bay Gardens Beach Resort with access to their various leisure facilities and a complimentary sunset cruise or a guided tour. The prize was jointly sponsored by Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Caribcation Saint Lucia

Georges said that Reece was among 452 persons who entered for the grand prize on February 4th when the SLTA was at the Giftland Mall. Reece will be the first local to experience the inaugural flight on the new British Airways service from Guyana to St. Lucia in March. The SLTA mission in Guyana ran from  February 1st to February 6th and was held at various locations including the Marriott Hotel, Amazonia Mall and the Giftland Mall. The new service will see  flights from London – St. Lucia – Guyana – St. Lucia – London.
