Devcon Construction and Industrial Supplies and Services continued their partnership with East Coast Demerara outfit Victoria Kings by donating several pairs of football cleats for the team’s youth programme.

This was confirmed by an official release from the club. According to the correspondence, the presentation occurred at the company’s head office, Robb and Albert Streets, Monday.

The football cleats will be utilised by the club’s U13, U15, U17 and U20 players for upcoming  tournaments on the Guyana Football Federation Calendar of Activities.

Nolan Lancaster, Managing Director of the firm, reassured the club’s executives of the company’s commitment especially to the development of their youth arm. “My first experience with the Kings was at my hometown ground in BV where I saw them play a brand of football comparable with what we see on TV,” he said.

The company has been the primary sponsor of the club for seven years, and contributed significantly to the Elite League programme which competes in the top tier of Guyana’s football pyramid.

“Victoria Kings received its first Elite League Kit in 2017 from Devcon Construction and Industrial Supplies and Services. A complete Joma Brand Kit was sponsored. The firm has demonstrated its willingness to support the club in different areas over the years despite the club finishing in the bottom half of the last two senior leagues”, the release said.
