Rock Auto Trans and Spare Parts donated a 125cc motorcycle towards the Most Valuable Player (MVP) prize for the impending Rawle Toney 3×3 Basketball Classic, which is slated for March 18th-19th at the Burnham Court on Parade ground.

The simple but significant presentation occurred at the entity’s Charlotte Street headquarters. General Manager Yolandia Ross presented the motorcycle on behalf of the company to tournament coordinator Rawle Toney.

“As a former player and journalist covering basketball for almost two decades, I don’t recall a motorcycle or any other form of transportation presented to a player locally”, stated Toney.

He further said, “This is huge for local basketball! Imagine 64 players, and only one will ride off with this motorcycle on March 19. I think this will set a standard for marquee basketball tournaments in Guyana which will motivate our players.”

Meanwhile, General Manager Ross said, “We’re more than happy to support the Rawle Toney 3×3 Classic, and we’re looking forward to what the tournament brings to basketball in Guyana”.

The company will also sponsor the first prize of $25,000 for the Dunk Contest on the final night.
