With just three weeks to go, the National Novices Bodybuilding Championships has begun to pick up more steam.
According to a release disseminated to the media yesterday by the bodybuilding federation, in excess of 20 athletes have signaled their intention to pose and flex their physiques at the event.
The championship, which is sponsored by Fitness Express, is scheduled to be hosted at Lichas Hall in Linden on March 25 from 19:00hrs.
The release stated that “on the night of competition, there will be about 25 athletes competing in the five different categories of the competition.”
Trophies and bragging rights will be up for grabs in the categories of Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Miss Bikini, Miss Bikini Wellness and Miss Best Legs.
The release further stated that an official athletes list will be disclosed 10 days prior to the event. To date some of the athletes that will be on stage are: Jubulani Dehnert, Anthony Alvin Downes, Shaun Demonic, Kewsie Anderson and Trisson Harte, Nicholas Persaud, Videsh Sookram, Delrae Anthony McLean, Shane Anthony Wilkinson, Errol Teekaram, Warren George, Omar Sattaur, Christopher Anthony, Yehoshua Immanuel Boodie, Martin Longe, Jada Allicock and Oshelle Williams (Miss Best legs), Vanisha Munroe (Bikini Wellness), Melitha Jodeci Fernandes-Anderson and Kelyna Xavier (Bikini).
