The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) Guyana is launching a voter education project.
A release yesterday from the organisation said that the event is a part of its Youth ALLIES programme and aims to promote civic and voter education among young voters in Guyana.
The event will take place on March 11, 2023, from 5-7 pm at the Giftland Mall.
“During the event, non-partisan youth volunteers will conduct civic and voter education, civic educational games, mock ballot exercises, and there will be a raffle. The winners of the Power of One Music and Art Competition will also perform during the event”, the release said.
The release added that the Youth ALLIES Program is committed to providing information to a diverse group of young voters across the 10 regions of Guyana. The Voter Education Launch is the first of many activities that will take place across the country, the release said.
The Youth ALLIES program is made possible with the support of the United States Agency for International Development.
