Guyanese Mixed Martial Artist Carlston Harris rebounded from his first ever defeat in the Ultimate Fighting Championship to secure a unanimous decision victory over Jared Gooden yesterday at the entity’s Fight Night 221 in Las Vegas.

Harris secured the result after all three judges scored the fight 30-27 in the catch-weight encounter after his opponent failed to make the required weight. It was Harris’ third UFC victory in four outings.

He was initially set to face-off against Abubakar Nurmagomedov. However Nurmagomedov withdrew from the bout for undisclosed reasons.

Harris suffered his first defeat in the UFC, losing to Shavkat Rakhmonov of Kazakhstan via a first round knockout on the main card of the promotion’s Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Strickland event in February 2022.
