Ministry solicits Bosai’s cooperation in probe of worker’s death

Minister of Labour,  Joseph Hamilton yesterday solicited the full cooperation of the Bosai Minerals Group Guyana management in the investigation to be done of the workplace death of bulldozer operator, Neptrid Hercules.

The investigation will begin on Monday, March 27th, 2023 and is set to last for six weeks.

A release yesterday from the Ministry of Labour said that the  Bosai Minerals Group management team committed in a meeting with Hamilton to providing the necessary support needed to successfully conduct the investigation.

The Bosai team comprised General Manager Eric Yu; Major General Ret’d, Norman McLean; Director, Consultant  Peter Benny; Human Resources Manager,  Truedel Marks; Mining Engineer,  Orin Barnwell and Public Relations Officer,  Scherry Domer.

Hercules went missing in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, March 11, 2023 along with the CAT D9T Dozer which he was operating at the time. This was due to a failure experienced at the Overburden Dump in the East Montgomery Mine where he was working. Hercules’ body was found several days later.
