Diamond woman injured while trying to rescue friend from attack

A 27-year-old woman sustained a broken hand, a swollen face and a burst head in an incident that took place at the Kingston Seawall, Georgetown on the 10th April.

Shellimiah McKoy,a  27-year-old Cashier of Cinema Street, Diamond, East Coast Demerara while on a “girls night out” was pushed off  the Kingston’s seawall after she intervened to save one of her friends who was thrown off of the seawall after being assaulted by her boyfriend.

McKoy told the Sunday Stabroek that she’s unable to work due to her injuries and since the boyfriend turned himself in to the police on Wednesday she’s waiting on a court date because she wants justice for what transpired that day.
