Undefeated Western Tigers maul Den Amstel 4-0 in Elite League

League leader and undefeated outfit Western Tigers dismantled Den Amstel 4-0 when the KFC Elite League continued yesterday at the National Training Centre, Providence

Malachi Granum opened the scoring in the 44th, thumping his effort past the goalkeeper into the far corner following a one on one situation inside the penalty box.

Randolph Wagner then got into the scoring act in the 58th minute, slotting home into the back of the net after latching onto a cross from the right side of the field.

An own goal in the 64th minute pushed the score to 3-0 as a Raushan Ritch cross from the right side of the field was inadvertently directed into the back of the net by the defender following an attempted clearance.

The score-line was then sealed as Wagner completed his brace in the 88th minute, converting from the penalty mark into the left corner following a handball infraction inside the area. Up to press time, the Guyana Defence Force and Buxton United fixture was underway.
