Brothers get bail on bodily harm, wounding charges

Two brothers were yesterday charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm after they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate Court before Acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs.

The charge against twenty-nine-year old Kevon Simpson, father of six and twenty-year old Kevin Simpson father of one, alleges that on 3rd April at North Road, Georgetown, while in the company of Orlando Cort, they maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Isaiah.

An arrest warrant is issued for Orlando Cort, the third party who was absent for his court hearing.

They were not required to enter a plea.

Police Prosecutor Quincy Lacon had no objections to bail.

Bail was granted in the sum $30,000 for each defendant.

Matter adjourned to 10th July.
