The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has garnered the support of the Guyana Olympic Association ahead of the U-19 Rugby Americas North (RAN) 7s Championship.

Recently, the Executive Committee of the association demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of the local ruggers following its sponsorship to help cover the expenses associated with the National U-19 team’s sojourn to Jamaica.

During a simple ceremony at Olympic House, GOA’s President, Godfrey Monroe handed over a cheque to Secretary of the union, Petal Adams.

Monroe stated that it gave the association  great pleasure to lend support to its affiliate members.

The young ‘Green Machine’ will compete in the July 12-16 Rugby Americas North (RAN) Senior Women’s 12s and Men’s U-19 championship at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus in Kingston.
