Princes Street man charged with break and enter and larceny

Twenty-year-old Shavon Harry, of Lot 44 Princes Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on July 11, before Acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus to face charges of break and enter and larceny.

Harry pleaded not guilty to the charges

It is alleged that on June 18, at Norton Street, Georgetown, the defendant broke and entered the dwelling house of Michelle Layne and stole $44,000 cash.

The court heard that Harry had a similar matter of this nature during last year but the matter was dismissed.

The police prosecutor did not offer any objection to bail.

Bail was granted in the sum of $75,000.

Harry is expected to make his next court appearance on August 02 for statements.
