Star cyclist, Briton John made hay in the brilliant sunshine yesterday in the National Park, winning the feature 40-lap race of the Team Alanis-organized event.

The United We Stand Club biker who was crowned the National Road Race Champion last month, took his talents to the inner circuit and once again stood atop the podium.

John led KFC Evolution standouts, Christopher Griffith and Curtis Dey into the top three, while Emanuel Gayral, Robin Persaud and Alex Mendes filled out the top six rewarding positions.

John who has been riding with sublime form, was his usual dominant self on the saddle, earning six of the eight sprint prizes on offer.

Persaud won the top honours in the Master’s O-40 category. Roy Mangru (Masters O-50), Daniel Jiang (Juvenile), Alex Leung (Junior), Clivecia Spencer (Female), were the winners for their respective categories.

The riders will today journey to Berbice to compete on the open roads in the Flying Ace Cycle Club organized 50-mile race. That event is scheduled to get off to a flying start from 09:00hrs at Skeldon.

John will be a marked man in the peloton as he seeks another victory.
