Gavin Lewis defeated Phillip Squires 2-1 to clinch the marquee Men’s Open Singles title when the Guyana Tennis Association ‘One Guyana’ Championship concluded at the National Racquet Centre, Woolford Avenue.
Lewis took the initial lead as the first set ended 6/1. However, Squires responded in the second stanza to level proceedings, as he prevailed 7/5. Nonetheless, the match concluded as it began with Lewis securing the third set and title by a commanding 6/1 score.
