Cougars and Paradise recorded contrasting victories when the Berbice Football Association Senior Men’s League continued on Wednesday at the Rosignol Community Centre ground.
Cougars mauled Fyrish 9-0. Siblings William and Timothy Sommersell engineered the win with a combined five goals, as the contest was effectively over following a 7-0 halftime lead. William Sommersell recorded a hat-trick in the fourth, ninth, and 10th minute, while Timothy Sommersell bagged a brace in the 14th and 42nd minute.
Chipping in with conversions in the 27th, 30th, and 60th minute respectively were Kwesi Mickel, Ray Reddock, and Lomar Reid. Adding to the score was an own goal in the 20th minute.
On the other hand, Paradise edged Hopetown 1-0. Compton Cudjoe made his presence felt with a 48th-minute conversion.
