(Trinidad Guardian) Horrified relatives say the charred remains discovered in an outhouse in Maraval on Thursday are those of their loved one Anastacia Waldron. However, the police are yet to confirm that the remains are Waldron’s.

The partial remains of the 20-year-old were found face-down in the outhouse at the back of her home at Clovis Trace, Morne Coco Road, around 3.45 pm that day. The gruesome discovery was made by officers who were responding to a missing person’s report.

When police arrived at Waldron’s home on Thursday, they saw smoke coming from the outhouse located ten feet from her home and upon checking the small galvanise structure, they found the remains in the pit, with the feet sticking out. Waldron, a customer service representative with the KFC branch in Maraval, was reported missing by a cousin around 3.30 pm on Thursday. The relative last saw Waldron on Monday around 3.45 pm as she left for work dressed in a monogrammed T-shirt and black pants.
