International Building Expo set for today

The International Building Expo, hosted by the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA) is all set to kick off from today at the National Stadium from 5 pm and will run until August 27 from 11 am to 11 pm.

Under the theme “Building For All: One Guyana, Many Opportunities,” this year’s expo promises to be a showcase of innovation, design, and construction excellence. There will be over 40 booths from prominent businesses representing a diverse array of construction-related industries, and the expo is expected to draw professionals, enthusiasts, and curious onlookers alike. The Ministry of Housing has spearheaded this initiative, aiming to highlight the potential for growth and development in the construction sector, while fostering collaboration and networking opportunities with foreign investors.

The theme, “Building For All: One Guyana, Many Opportunities,” reflects the nation’s commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and economic progress. By emphasising unity and shared growth, the event aims to inspire collaboration among industry players and stakeholders, contributing to the nation’s overall development.

In an exclusive interview with Stabroek News, Tamika Jeffrey, Communication Manager at the Guyana Water Inc, expressed her enthusiasm and excitement with having a unique platform to showcase the advancements and opportunities within the construction sector. 

“The expo is well on its way and we are on schedule. I believe that this expo will provide many opportunities when it comes to development and investments, especially for potential home owners.”

The event will host a wide range of participants, including architects, builders, contractors, suppliers, and technology providers. The diverse array of booths will feature cutting-edge construction materials, sustainable building solutions, architectural designs, and smart home technologies. Attendees can also expect informative seminars, panel discussions, and demonstrations from industry experts.

The International Building Expo has gained significant traction over the years, becoming a hub for professionals and enthusiasts to engage in conversations about the latest trends, challenges, and solutions within the construction and housing sectors.

Tickets for the expo can be bought at the gate at the cost of $500 for adults, while children under 12 are free. However for today, persons can enter without paying an admission fee.
