The spotlight at the National Cultural Centre will shine on 11 talented teenagers tonight as they compete in the Miss Guyana Talented Teen 2023 pageant.

Directed by Wazim Khan and his team at the Imperial House, the pageant promises an unforgettable evening of beauty, talent, and empowerment.

The contestant vying for the crown this year are 16-year-old Jasadia Assanah of Annandale Secondary; 18-year-old Nabiha Ali-Khan of School of the Nations; 18-year-old Danisha Gonsalves of Anna Regina Secondary; 18-year-old Kine Brasche of Cacique Accounting College; 18-year-old Trafiona Peters of the University of Guyana; 16-year-old Marissa Beete of  Richard Ishmael Secondary; 18-year-old Adana Dorrick of Cummings Lodge Secondary; 15-year-old Shenaed Fordyce of Queen’s College; 17-year-old Kristie Rambharat of Uitvlugt Secondary; 16-year-old Akeelah Andrew of Christ Church Secondary and 13-year-old Breann Ritchie of North Georgetown Secondary.

Khan stated that Miss Guyana Talented Teen is not just a beauty pageant but a platform for these young contestants to showcase their remarkable talents and make their voices heard. The pageant celebrates intelligence, creativity, and the pursuit of dreams, and hopes to empower the contestants to become future leaders and change-makers in their communities.

The winner of the pageant will receive a fully-funded scholarship that covers her tertiary education as well as a community development fund which she will manage for her outreaches and voluntary projects.
