Flavio Rhodius, 21, a mechanic of Lot 17 Gordon Street, Kitty, Georgetown, appeared yesterday, at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly where he was charged with armed robbery.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

It is alleged that on September 04, at Brickdam, Georgetown, Rhodius, while being in the company of others and armed with a knife, robbed Christopher Armstrong of one silver band valued $100,000, one Samsung Galaxy valued $70,000 and $60,000 cash, all belonging to Armstrong.

The prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds that a dangerous weapon was used and the nature and gravity of the offence.

However, following the defendant’s not guilty plea, bail was granted in the sum of $80,000 under the condition that he reports to CID Headquarters every Monday at 9:00am.
