Repair works to the synthetic track at Leonora, West Demerara are almost complete Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle, told Stabroek Sports yesterday.
“The repairs at the track are almost complete,” Ninvalle told this newspaper in an invited comment.
According to Ninvalle, who paid a visit to the facility on Friday, he met with Deitmar Jakel, the technician from BSW Regupol, on Friday.
While at the facility Ninvalle also inspected the ongoing works and told this newspaper that repairs should be completed by Friday, weather permitting.
According to Ninvalle the repair works are estimated to cost in the vicinity of G$78m.
