Ambassador Majeed to explore sport related opportunities with Cuba

Guyana’s Ambassador to Cuba Halim Majeed has been tasked by the Guyana Olympic Association of exploring sports related opportunities with Cuba.

This is according to a press release from the GOA.

According to the GOA release it’s Executive Committee and Guyana’s Ambassador to Cuba Halim Majeed met recently at the Olympic House, to collaborate on a number of sports related issues.

The GOA team included its president Godfrey Munroe, Vice-Presidents Steve Ninvalle and Cristy Campbell, Treasurer  Garfield Wiltshire, Secretary-General Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon and Assistant Secretary Emelia Ramdhani.

According to the release Majeed gave an overview of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) in Cuba with a view of the GOA exploring future collaboration with the entity.

According to the release, the following areas were discussed in-depth: Coaches training exchange programmes in selected sport disciplines, athletes exchange training programmes, technology and sport science training methods and assistance with development of physiotherapy framework
