With berths to the quarter-final section up for grabs, the round of 16 section in the 10th edition of the Courts Pee Wee Football Championship, will commence today at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
At 11:00 a.m., Redeemer will oppose Kabakaburi, while at 12:00 p.m., North Georgetown will engage Potaro, and St. John the Baptist will match skills with St. Stephens.
F.E. Pollard will then lock horns with Den Amstel at 13:00 hours, while Marian Academy battles Colaaco and West Ruimveldt opposes Tucville at 14:00 hours. In the final two fixtures at 15:00 hours, St. Pius takes aim at Friendship, and defending champion Enterprise opposes St. Gabriel’s.
The winner of the tournament will receive the championship trophy, gold medals, and a pair of uniforms. Each player will also be presented with an electronic tablet.
The runners-up will collect a trophy, silver medals, and six balls. The third-place finisher will pocket a trophy and four balls, while the fourth-place side will walk away with a trophy.
On the individual side, a trophy and a pair of football cleats will be presented to the eventual most valuable player, highest goal scorer, and best goalkeeper.
