Omesh Chandra, a 23-year-old labourer of Riverstown, Essequibo Coast was charged with the wounding of Sheldon Patterson, a 25-year-old labourer of Zorg, Essequibo Coast and was placed on $500,000 bail.
The police said in a statement that the incident occurred on 29th August 2023 at Riverstown, Essequibo Coast.
On Wednesday 11th of October 2023, the case was heard at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court, before Magistrate Esther Sam, where the charge was read to the accused and he was not required to plead to the charge.
Bail was granted in the sum of $500,000. The case was adjourned to 2023-10-27 at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
