On Thursday, October 12, 2023, while at Independence Boulevard, one of the two allegedly discharged a loaded firearm at eighteen-year-old Sherwin Bobb, forty-one-year-old Seon Ross, and thirty-seven-year-old Hamilton Dickerson.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the victims and defendants are known to each other. The victims had gathered on the avenue. Bourne and Goodluck, who were on motorcycle CM 6629, parked away from where the trio were and walked towards them with a handgun. One person fired multiple shots in their direction.

As a result of the shooting, Bobb, remains hospitalised in a critical condition.

The prosecution also revealed that they are in possession of the CCTV footage which captured the entire incident. They asked the court to consider that one of the defendants is presently before the courts for armed robbery.

As a result, the magistrate refused bail, and they were remanded. The matter was adjourned to November 21, 2023, for statements in the matter.

The accused were apprehended in the compound of the Guyana Chronicle after fleeing the scene.
