Edward George appeared on Wednesday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Leron Daly where he was charged with assault.
It is alleged that on October 12, while at Beaver Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he assaulted a woman.
The prosecution objected to bail on the grounds that George may try to interfere with or harm the woman. The court also heard that he has had previous incidents.
Bail was refused, and George was remanded to prison until November 22.
