Yesterday,  the Aishalton Nursery School, nestled in the picturesque savannahs of South Rupununi in Region Nine, hosted a Pet Show Day. This event offered the pupils an opportunity to proudly display their cherished pets and the bond they shared.

The Pet Show Day was a veritable menagerie of animals, highlighting the diversity of South Rupununi wildlife. Among the stars of the show were a powis bird, a guinea bird, and turtles,

But it wasn’t just the feathered friends who stole the spotlight; the cats and dogs of the school made a fashion statement of their own, dressed in the school’s signature attire. The sight of these four-legged fashionistas, adorned in the school’s colours, added an element of cuteness and camaraderie to the event.

Adding an unexpected twist to the event, the chickens, showing  glamour and flair, were adorned with dazzling and unconventional jewellery. These fashionable fowls showcased the creativity and playful spirit of the young pet owners, who had gone the extra mile to adorn their beloved chickens with tiny, sparkling accessories.
