Female GPHC doctor robbed of iPhone on Lamaha Street

Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery committed on a 29-year-old female doctor working at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) of one Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max valued at $130,000. The suspect is an identifiable male who was armed with an ice pick.

Enquiries disclosed that around 00:30 hrs yesterday morning, the doctor arrived home from work and parked her motor car in her yard on Lamaha Street, Georgetown. As the victim was about to close her front gate, the suspect ran into her yard, pointed the ice pick at the doctor and snatched her iPhone. He then made good his escape on foot east on Lamaha Street. No one was injured. Checks are being made for the suspect as investigations continue.
