Bahamas stands in line with CARICOM on ICJ ruling

The Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement yesterday where it noted the ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) concerning the border controversy between Guyana and Venezuela over the Essequibo region.

It stated that The Bahamas, like the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), observes the importance of this decision in maintaining regional stability and upholding international law.

“The Bahamas will continue advocating for peaceful dialogue and respect for the ICJ’s ongoing processes in this matter, reaffirming our commitment to a diplomatic solution,” the release added.
