Chris Gopaul, a 33-year-old fisherman of Riverview Mahaica, ECD, was arrested on 30-11-2023 and charged yesterday with attempted rape.
The accused appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alisha George, where the charge was read to him.
He was not required to plead and was remanded to prison until 09-01-2024, a release from the police said.
