A truck loaded with several items flipped after its driver lost control yesterday on the public road at Three Friends in Region Two.

The driver emerged unharmed after losing control of the truck, license plate GXX7423,, causing it to flip over and collide with a residential fence and a parked car.

Startled by the loud crash, residents of the area rushed to the scene and later assisted the driver with transferring the spilled items, including soap powder from Beepats, to another truck.

“We were kind enough to do that. Residents in Three Friends assisted to take the soap powder and put it in another vehicle… and thankfully no one was injured,” a resident said.

However, the truck did damage a resident’s property and the resident is asking who will cover that damage. This newspaper understands that the truck belongs to Beepats. The truck usually visits the Essequibo Coast to transport and then returns to Georgetown where the head office is.
