Man charged with knife-point robbery on Hadfield St

Twenty-one-year-old Samuel Archibald appeared before Magistrate Delon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday where he was charged with armed robbery.

 It is alleged that on December 24,  at Hadfield Street, Georgetown, while armed with a knife, he robbed Jitendra Jaikissoon of $110,000 and one Samsung A21s cellphone valued at $40,000.

Archibald pleaded not guilty.

The prosecution had to objection to bail on the condition that it was a substantial amount. The court was also informed that the address Archibald gave was incorrect.

The magistrate granted bail in the sum of $140,000 with the condition that he reports to the Ruimveldt Police Station every Friday.
