The Guyana Police Force (GPF) and Cougars will battle in the final of the Candy Boss and Antics GT Beer 8-a-side Football Championship following contrasting semifinal wins on Thursday evening at the All Saints Scott Church ground, Princess Elizabeth Road, in New Amsterdam, Berbice.
The lawmen arrested Dynamic 5-0. The quintet of Junior Redmon, Jemar Harrigon, Dorwin George, Pernell Schultz, and Adrian Aaron scored in the 16th, 25th, 48th, 50th, and 59th minutes, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Cougars edged Monedderlust 3-2. Ray Reddock bagged a brace in the second and 11th minutes, while Alitu Drakes netted in the 51st minute. On target in the loss were Tyrone Delph and Paul McDonald in the 38th and 45th minutes, respectively.
The final will be staged at the same venue on Monday, with the losing semi-finalists competing in the third-place playoff.
